Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Pangkalan Bun - Tanjung Harapan Camp
Welcome to Pangkalan Bun, your gateway to the remarkable wonders of Borneo. As you step off the plane, our friendly guide will be there to extend a warm welcome and facilitate your transfer to Kumai Port, where your extraordinary river adventure is set to commence.
Here, you'll board our charming traditional wooden boat, known as a 'klotok.' If your flight arrives early, we'll embark straight away for Tanjung Harapan, aptly named the "Cape of Hope." In the late afternoon, you'll be treated to a truly remarkable sight as you witness orangutans being fed by the National Park Rangers, providing you with an up-close encounter with these incredible creatures.
As we continue our journey upstream, keep your binoculars ready to spot an array of wildlife, including proboscis monkeys, macaques, crocodiles, and more. While the sun sets, our jungle crew will prepare a delectable meal for you to savor amidst the tranquil jungle surroundings.
But the adventure doesn't end here. Tonight, under the canopy of stars, you'll embark on a guided jungle walk in search of the mysterious nocturnal wildlife, from slithering snakes to curious tarantulas and even luminescent mushrooms. Get ready for a night in the heart of Borneo's wilderness.

Day 2: Tanjung Puting Exploration - Camp Leakey

Following a hearty breakfast on board, we'll embark on an adventure to the Tanggui Camp just in time for the morning orangutan feeding session. Journey to Camp Leakey: Our voyage continues upstream, leading us to Camp Leakey – an iconic orangutan rehabilitation center with a rich history. Jungle Trekking with Local Experts: After observing orangutans in their natural habitat, you'll embark on a thrilling jungle trek led by our knowledgeable local guides. This adventure offers you the chance to spot free orangutans and other fascinating wildlife that call this rainforest home.

Day 3: Kumai - Pangkalan Bun - Banjarmasin
Start your day with a delightful breakfast on the boat. Enjoy a relaxed morning with free time to soak in the beautiful surroundings until it’s time to transfer to Kumai. From there, you will proceed to Pangkalan Bun Airport for your onward journey to Banjarmasin via Surabaya. Upon arrival in Banjarmasin, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay. Relax and prepare for the adventures that await you.

Day 4: Cempaka- Martapura - Nagara - Loksado
After breakfast, head to Cempaka village to witness traditional diamond mining and polishing. Continue to Martapura town to visit a diamond factory and explore the vibrant souvenir market. Next, visit Pandak Daun village, renowned for its thousands of water buffaloes, a long-standing family business for the local residents. Afterwards, depart for Loksado, arriving late in the evening. Settle in for an overnight stay at a simple local lodge and enjoy dinner.

Day 5: Loksado - Bamboo Rafting Adventure
After breakfast, join the villagers to cut bamboo and set up a traditional bamboo raft. After this immersive adventure, return to Banjarmasin and settle in for an overnight stay at your hotel in Banjarmasin.

Day 6: Floating Market - Departure Banjarmasin
Very early in the morning, depart from your hotel at 5:00 AM for an hour drive to the bustling floating market at Lok Baintan. Unlike the market at Barito, Lok Baintan is frequented by more sellers and buyers, offering a vibrant and authentic experience. Arrive around 6:00 AM and explore the market. Afterwards, visit Kembang Island, approximately 45 minutes away. Despite its name meaning "the island of flowers," the island is more known for its temple with a white monkey statue, where visitors come to pray and give offerings. The island is also home to a large population of long-tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis). Return to Banjarmasin to prepare for check-out and your flight to the next destination.
