Itinerary
Day 1: Balikpapan - Sangatta
Arrive in Balikpapan, a city with a rich history that has evolved from a fishing village built by Bugis people. Here, you'll find bustling markets offering jewelry and gemstones, as well as pristine white sandy beaches along the coast. Upon your arrival at the airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by your guide. Your journey to Sangatta, one of the park's entry points, will be a scenic 7-hour drive. Check-in to your hotel, enjoy dinner, and get a well-deserved rest.

Day 2: Sangatta - National Park
Early in the morning, embark on a thrilling adventure as you journey upriver into the heart of the jungle in motorized canoes. Your first stop will be the orangutan research station, where you'll leave your backpacks. From there, set out on a jungle trek in search of wildlife, including orangutans.
Kutai National Park, spanning 2,000 sq. km, is a haven for diverse flora and fauna. With over 900 species of flora, including mangrove forests and freshwater swamps, it's also home to 10 species of primates, 90 mammal species, including orangutans, and a staggering 300 bird species. In the afternoon, return to the station for lunch and relaxation. Later, embark on another exciting forest trek. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at the research station.

Day 3: National Park - Delta - Samarinda
Wake up to the sounds of the jungle and savor breakfast in this exotic setting. Once again, journey in a motorized canoe, this time to the delta of Sangatta River. Here, you'll explore lowland rainforests and mangrove forests, with opportunities to spot orangutans, proboscis monkeys, birds, and crocodiles.
Return to Sangatta for lunch and then transfer to Samarinda, where you'll spend the night at a comfortable hotel.

Day 4: Samarinda - End of Trip
Enjoy breakfast and savor some free time to soak in the hotel's atmosphere before your departure.
