Itinerary
Day 1: Balikpapan - Samboja Lestari Reserve
Your voyage sets sail from Balikpapan, once a tranquil fishing village, now a bustling city boasting vibrant gemstone markets and pristine beaches. Upon touchdown at the airport, you'll be warmly welcomed by your guide, the key to unlocking the mysteries of Samboja Lestari.
As you traverse the rugged terrain, you'll venture deep into a pristine rainforest, a mere prelude to the awe-inspiring encounters that await. Your sanctuary for this adventure is the Samboja Lodge, strategically perched to offer breathtaking vistas from its observatory tower. Here, you'll bear witness to the incredible journey of orangutans and sun bears as they undergo rehabilitation on their path to the wild.

Day 2: Samboja Lestari - Bukit Bangkirai

Within the confines of Samboja Lodge's six islands, approximately 210 orangutans now reside, each one a living symbol of resilience.
After a fulfilling lunch, your journey continues into Bukit Bangkirai, a gateway to the heart of Borneo's legendary rainforest. Guided jungle treks will lead you to the canopy bridge, a thrilling vantage point where the world of treetops unfolds before your eyes.
