Day 1: Palangkaraya - Sebangau National Park
Welcome to Palangkaraya! The city name consists of 2 words; one from Dayak Ngaju language, “Palangka” meaning sacred site and a word from Sanskrit language, “raya” meaning vast. So, the combination of the two means a vast sacred site.
Meet our friendly guide who will take you by car for about 3 hours to each Baon Bango Harbor which is your starting point of sail by canoe into the jungle of Sebangau Park. The sail should be roughly 2-3 hours, depends on the stream. Along the river bank, you can spot some animals such as proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, even some enchanting birds.
